ACTFL OPI Testers with a current Certification in any ACTFL language may pursue Certification in any additional ACTFL language. An ACTFL tester with Full Certification, who is a Superior level speaker of a language other than the language of initial certification, may apply for certification in a second language. This option is known as Dual Full Certification.
An ACTFL tester with Limited Certification, who is an Advanced Mid (or higher) speaker of a language other than the language of initial certification, may apply for certification in a second language.
